Si vous aviez découvert FLOH avec son EP Dreaming That I'm Dreaming, vous risquez d'être surpris. Après 11 longues années d'attente, son premier album nous arrive enfin. Un laps de temps qui aura été nécessaire pour faire mûrirle terreau folk dans lequel se trouvent les racines de l'artiste, et à la fois s’en affranchir. Sa voix d'une chaleur remarquable et sa guitare s'accompagnent de nombreuses machines et d'un fidèle acolyte, à savoir Julien Lagon (All Angels Gone). De cette fusion naissent 13 titres voués à bâtir des ponts entre Sufjan Stevens, Bonobo, Mogwai et El-P, sous un titre on ne peut plus annonciateur : Let It Be My Way.
Le disque est une véritable mise à nu. Si ses influences les plus variées habitent les compositions de FLOH, c'est bien de son cœur que provient l'encre de sa plume. Ainsi évoque-t-il notamment la connaissance et l'amour de soi, la paternité, le mariage, les histoires qui ne fonctionnent pas, la révolte, ou encore le combat face à ses démons et fantômes. Une telle aventure méritait d'être partagée. FLOH ne s'en est pas privé en s'entourant d'une superbe brochette d'invités : Nikkfurie (La Caution), Faustine Berardo (Munshy, Orchester, La Nébuleuse d’Hima), Patrick Biyik (Twin Twin, The Accident), Lemdi aka Lord N, Violet Arnold, kidwithnoeyes et bien d'autres…
Laissez-vous emporter par ses flots et son flow. FLOH promet de vous guider jusqu'à l'embouchure de la rivière. Et que cela soit, plus que jamais, à sa façon.
